I fell in love with Auckland

I can not believe it’s nearly the end of October.. this year is flying by so fast. Since January, I’ve moved out of home (for the 3rd time!), finished 4 years of university, started this blog, made up with old friends, made new friends and have had heaps of fun along the way! Last weekend was the annual Filipino NZ  Festival that’s held every Labour Weekend and always in a different city. This year it was held in Auckland so there was no way I was going to stay in Wellington and let the opportunity pass to have some time out up North. All in all, the weekend was FANTASTIC. Stayed in Parnell and had a great mix of family time, seeing friends from Auckland, shopping, watching some basketball, eating Filipino food andchecking out the night life!

My favourite moments consisted of amazing chicken enchiladas from The Mexican Cafe with great company, checked out the shops around the city and experienced great hospitality + late nights at Rakinos on High Street and 1885 Britomart.

One of the highlights of my trip was when Julia (one half of juliaandlibby ) and I spotted each other from across the room at 1885! Julia is a fellow blogging friend from NZ and meeting for the first time unexpectedly like that made my day! Auckland – You did not disappoint.

Here are a few snap shots from the weekend – Would have taken more but I think we were having too much fun to stop and have kodak moments!
