Time to Declutter and Clear-Out

The start of a new month for me is to reflect and rejuvenate so seeing as today is the first day of October – I booked an appointment at The Stress Exchange  for some pamper and beautifying time and also decided to use October as my “Declutter & Clear-Out” month.

Clutter can leave us feeling overwhelmed and surrounding yourself in it can really zap your energy. Having a clutter-free environment can give a sense of calmness, control and peace – a sense of bliss.

Sit back and imagine a room that is clear, spacious and where you can see that everything has a place then think of a room that is cramped with all sorts of possessions that rarely gets used – I feel overwhelmed just thinking about! Making time to de-clutter is truly beneficial for the mind and soul as getting rid of the old can create new positive energy.

Think clean and tidy, open and bright or balance and harmony. Keep the things you actually use and love as keeping unwanted, unloved or forgotten items can lead to slow and stagnant energy.

Gift your belongings, donate to charity stores, find a better way to store it, sell online or even just ruthlessly cull the unwanted stuff by throwing it out. This can be so challenging but you can start to experience new and positive energy when you make a conscious decision to stop tolerating the unorganised mess and finish the unfinished jobs and untidiness – don’t think of it as a chore, think of it as a way to beautify and revamp your life just as you would set time aside pampering and beauty spa appointments.

I’ll document my progress at the end of the month.. for now, wish me luck in my road to de-cluttering! Time to get rid of the old and make way for the new xx
