Happiness is a Choice

If you throw out negativity into the world – you’re going to get bad vibes right back at you. I woke up this morning still a little bit peeved off about something from Friday afternoon, can you imagine that – after a whole weekend of relaxation I still felt a little bitter about something that happened 3 days ago. I could have marched into work in a big huff bringing in the bitterness to my desk but instead I decided to smile, get over it and get on with my day. In reality, thinking bad thoughts only hurts YOU, not the other person because they have no idea what you’re thinking. It’s best to either confront and work something out between you and the other person or simply get over it and get on with your day in a positive way if you’re not planning to talk it over. Your attitude that you start the day with will determine how the rest of the day will go.

You deserve to be happy and by holding onto bitterness, this only hinders your ability to be happy. Every time you feel like starting your day in a bitter way just remember it will probably get worse because you will only expect the bad things – you won’t even notice all the good things that will come your way.

Do yourself a favour (and everyone else you will make contact with!) and make a promise to yourself at the start of the day that you will have a pleasant day. Think of your day in advance.
